■THE BIDING BALANCES. The monthly report of the® clerk, Mr E. Walton, setting out the financial position of the Hauraki Plains County Cpunci.l. was placed before the meeting of the Council, on Monday, and was as follows : , The riding debit balances at April 30, 1922, were: Tui;ua, £2299 ,17s Id: Waitajtaruru", £1157 is; Netherton, £1035 19s sd; Patetonga, £926 12s 9d ; Ta'huna, £1626 18s 4d. The credit balances in the Loan ' Accounts on the same date were: Waitakaruru Roads Loan, £1 Is 5d ; Kopu Ferry Approach Roads Loan, £328 9s lid ; Puriri Ferry and Approach Roads Loan, £404 12s lOd; Tahuna Roads Loan, £156 9s Id; Netherton Roads Loan, £1542 2s 7d. . The receipts for the montn, of April, 1922, were : General rate, £1159 16s sd; hospital rate, £316 10s 10d; Orchard Bridge rate, £9 Ils Id ; Kopu Ferry, rate, £2O 7s 8d; Puriri Ferry rate. £24 2s 4d ; Kopu Ferry approach roads rate, £lO 14s 6d; Waitakaruru roads rate, £9B 12s 3d; Waihou Bridge rate, £lO 4s sd; Tahuna roads rate, £4 4s 4'd; Netherton roads rate, £8 10's 6d; Penalty on rates, £4 IS; 6d; exchanges, 13s lid; share of cleaning drain, £l9 7s 6d ; Whareppa Ferry rent, £.19 5s ; total, £1706 2s 3d; The credit balance as per cashbook of the County "Fund Account on April 30, 1922. was £ll3B 8s 7d.
