Mr Roy N. Alley, son pf Mr and Mrs Alf. Alley, of Hikutaia, lias succeeded in securing the Bachelor of Arts degree at the University.

In St. Paul’s Parish Hall yesterday afternoon the members of St. Paul’s Ladies’ Guild gathered together to bid farewell to Mrs G. A. Bush prior to her departure for Te Aroha. On behalf of the Guild the president, Mrs W. H. Taylor, in a few well-' chosen words, presented Mrs Bush with a small gift,, Mrs Bush suitably responding.' -Dainty afternoon tea was served and several musical items were rendered. '
