Cassrels wrpte to the Paeroa Chamber of; Commerce, intimating that he was willing to acj, as the Paeroa delegate on the Auckland Chamber of ’’Commerce. It was decided, on the motion of Mr T: E. McMillan. seconded by Mr E. Edwards, that Hie principle be approved, and that information be secured in reference to the subscription. Mr E. W. Porritt (president) also moved., and Mr W. Marshall seconded, a further motion, that the executive be empowered to act when the reply is received, and that the delegate act subject to instructions from the executive. — Both motions were carried.

The Louis Theirau.lt>, the sailing vessel which has been Carrying electric power poles from Australia ta Kopu, left Kopu on Saturday for Lyttelton. It is not known whether the vessel will transport any more poles.
