PAERC.A REQUIREMENTS.
The need of a manual training school at Paeroa was expressed to the Minister 6f Public Works (Hon. J. G. Coates) at Paeroa on Wednesday.
Mr W, H. Taylor, Chairman of the Pasroa District High School Committee. urged that the unoccupied school ’ in,' Mackaytow'n be moved to Paeroa for a manual training 'school. The.cost of- removal and equipment of the school could be secured by the £3OO per annum saved pn t'he cps- 1 , of sending pupils to Thames for training. Children travelling 44 miles by train every day could not receive education under satisfactory The discussion that evening should prove the rieed of a little more education.. (Daughter.)
Mr Coates: I will endeavour *.o educate the Minister of Education to your way of thinking.. (Applause.)
