On the subject pfl moving the Show from the Domain to the Racecourse, Mr A. White thought that in view of the financial, stringency it was not opportune to dp so at present. Mr Johnstone expressed a similar view, as did members. It was agreed, however, that a deputation, as previously decided upon, wait upon the Ohinemuri Jockey Club in respect tip the matter. ADDITIONAL ATTRACTIONS. Mr R. Whitten thought that poultry and home industries should be added to the Show. The secretary said there were several people xyho promised support, but none who would go on a committee or take an executive positiion. A PAVILION. . Mr Whitten said that if the Association could get the right to erect a pavilion, about 55 by 25, with the right to remove the same if desired, he would give the timber in bulk for the pavilion. The offer was appreciated and recorded on the minute , book. Mr Silcock detailed an inspection of the Domain to improve the playing area. He thought the sports bodies would be prepared to find about £5O for erecting a pavilion, which was much needed. At present the sporting fraternity were under an obligation for the use of the bowling and tennis pavilions. He hoped the Association would take the matter up. Mr Johnstone opined that the Association should first find out. what itl was going to do in respect to the racecourse. “ It was pointed out that any. structure erected on the Domain would' have tb be of a permanent nature, and vested in' the Domain Board. Removal would probably not.be permitted. In reply to a statement that the horticultural division was usual! v nOri-paying, Mr Whitten said this section was educative, and it was a poor policy to pit the loss ofl a few shillings against the value of education. A Member: But we cannot afford to pay for the education of the people. JERSEY PRIZE MONEY. It was unanimously decided that the Jersey prize moneys be paid in full.
