KEREPEEHI SPORTS.
PROGRAMME ARRANGED. A meeting of the Kerepeehi Sports Association’s general committee was held in the Kerepeehi Hall On Wednesday evening, Mr, A. Chatfield, prei siding. Mr, J. H. Nicholson reported that the sub-committee Had found no trace of the late secretary, but Mr Bagnall was still endeavouring to locate him. Messrs H. Johnstone, J. M. Thompson, R. Shelton, P.. Arb, P. Whitika, J. Kidd, and Woodbridge. were added to the list af vice-presidents and members of the general committee. The following ' officials, were appointed : Judges for horse events, Messrs J. M. Thompson and Hollyburton Johnstonei. starter, Mr C. Bill-} man. Clerk of Course, Mr C. Nicholson. Chief Steward, Mr J. H. Nicholson. A very interesting programme of horse events was arranged, and ini eludes a rescue match, the Piako trot, high jump, Kerepeehi Cup, donkey race, lady’s bracelet, pacing r t ace, best all-round jumper, district relay race, flag race, greasy pig race, and cockatoos* race. Maiden, Kerepeehi, and underhand chops will also be included in the programme. The secretary was instructed, to make arrangements for launches to run from the various centres on the river on sports day, Easter Monday. 'lt was decided to ask Lieut. Clark if the 6th Hauraki Band would be available for Easter Monday. t It was decided tp allot about £9O in prize money. Tt was stated that Mr A. Fisher was procuring blocks for the chopping events.
