CIRCULATION OF THE “GAZETTE.”

REMARKABLE INCREASE. , DISTRIBUTION SERVICES. ADDITIONAL MACHINERY. What a wonderfully fine district advertising medium the “Gazette" is may be grasped by following with the mind’s eye the course taken once the papers leave the printer’s hands. Runners immediately distribute papers throughout the Borough of Paeroa; trains take them as far as Kopu, where the Turua package is taken across the Waihou River by launch. At Hikutaia, Wharepoa, and Komata Reefs the agents distribute. Messrs Brenan and Co.’s Hauraki Plains motor .bus >sei'vice makes a house-to-house delivery of the “Gazette" on the high road from Paeroa, starting at the Puke bridge, to Netherton, Kerepeehi, and Ngatea, the agents distributing to the subscribers on the by-roads . Kopuarahi, Waitakaruru, and Pipiroa get their. supplies, as do Patetonga, Kaihere, and Tahuna. And in the Goldfields district the "Gazette” has agencies at Waikino and Waitekauri. As a local advertising proposition there is obviously nothing that can compare with the “Gazette.” The circulation of the “ Gazette ” has slightly more than doubled during the past twelve months, due to the progressive policy of‘ catering for the news requirements of the residents of the outside district, in some cases our Agencies extending for a distance of over thirty miles by road from Paeroa.

From investigations, made, we believe that we have at least four times the number of subscribers on> the Hauraki Plains that- any' other provincial paper 'can lay claim to. Ou account of the remarkable increase in our circulation, we have been obliged to instal additional machinery to cope with the output. ( . A staff reporter pH the “Gazette” is stationed at Ngatea, and provided with a motor-cycle for the, purpose of attending all meetings on the Plains, and for canvassing for new subscribi ers. ' ~
