A proposal by Mr J. Price (Matamata) that the Thames Valley Electric Power Board should set up either one or several working committees did not find favour at yesterday’s meeting of the Board. Members considered that the enormous amount if extra time, work, and expense such as a scheme would involve would not be compensated for by any advantages gained. It was thought that if the engineers made a practice of getting into personal touch with the local district representatives periodically, all local requirements could be satisfactorily explained and adjusted.
