The death occurred at Levin on Friday night of Mr T. G. L. Nicholas. About a week ago word was received by his son, Mr W. D. Nicholas, pro- ’ prietor of the "Hauraki Plains Gazette,” that Mr Nicholas, senr.,' was in a serious condition. The former •• hastened from his beach residence on Puru Park estate, where he and his family were spending a holiday, to Levin, hoping for an improvement, but his father, although he rallied somewhat, soon relapsed and grew progressively worse until the end c.ame on Friday night.
