CENTRAL THEATRE PICTURES TO-NIGHT. “THE SCUTTLERS.” “The Scuttiers,” a thrilling story of the sea, is the principal feature at the Central Theatre to-night. It is replete with unusual incidents and is said to have thrills enough tp satisfy the most eager Farnum fan. When the scuttiers begin their work Farrium is a prisoner in the hold of the ship. Then things happen that stir the blood. There are two typical Farnum fights, and the romance centres upon the mutual love of Farnum and the daughter 'of the ship’s eap-i tain. Jackie’ Saunders, a most capable leading woman, plays opposite the star. The photography is beautiful, the scenes at sea being particularly good. KEREPEEHI PICTURES. There was an exceptionally large attendance at the Kerppeehi pictures on Saturday night, when the audience was delighted with the screening of the Australian and New Zealand production entitled “The Betrayer.” The scenes of. Rotorua—the geysers, the lakes, the poi dances, and the native characters —were all remarkably interesting, and the native portion of the audience was not only enraptured but the pakehas, who were also particularly • well represented, were immensely delighted with the picture. It may be mentioned in passing that the kinematograph machine which has been installed in the Kerepeehi Hall by Mr Innis is the most up-to-date on the Plains, in fact there are ftew picture houses in the metropolitan areas have the fire-preventing attachments which are a feature of Mr Ignis’ machine.
