Loan of £30,60.0 Cor purchase of land, erection of County Chambers, purchase of Furniture, Machinery, and Plant, and purchase of Quarries Quarry Sitejs, Machinery, and other equipment' therefor. OTICE is hereby given: 1. THAT it is the .intention of tne Hauraki Plains County Council, under the provisions of the Counties Act, J 920, The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, respectively, and all other Acts, if apy, it in that behalf enabling, to borrow the sum. of £30,600 for the following purposes: (a) The sum of £BOO for the purchase pf land at Ngatea to be used, as a County site fer the County Chambers, the Engineer’s house, and a depot. (b) The sum of £25.00 tor the erection. of'County Chambers st Ngatea and lor the purchase ci furniture and fittings therefor. (c) The sum of £2BOO lop tihe pur-> chase of a road roHer. (d) The sum of £7200 for the purchase of four metal trucks. ■ (e) The sum pf £250 for the purchase of a scarifier. (f) The sum of £l5O for the purchase of a water-cart. (g) The sum pf £BOO for the purchase of a- portable stonecrusher. (h) The sum o£ £3OO for the pur-, chase of portable bins and screens. (i) The sum of £5OO for the purchase of an engine to drive portable crusher. (j) The sum of £l2OO for the erection of four bins, two on the Waihou and two on the Piako river. (k) The sum of £4OO fpr the purchase of one tar sprayer. (l) The sum of £4OO for the purchase of a concrete mixer. (m) The sum of £5OO fpr the purchase of elevating machinery for blns. (n) The sum of £250 for the purchase of a grader. (o) The sum pf £lOOO tor the purchase pf two tractois. , (p) The sum of £l5O for the purchase of scoops. (q) The sum of £lOOO for the pur-i chase pf one towing launch. (r) The sum of £BOOO for the pun chase of quarries, quarry sites, machinery, plant, and other equipment therefor. (s) The sum qf £2400 for the payment of the first year’s interest and sinking fund and prelimin- <*■ ary expenses., 2. THAT as security for the payments, of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan it is the intention of the said Council-to make and levy a special rate of one half-penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. 3. THAT it is the intention of the said Council to pay put of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first

year. 4. THE loan is for, a period ofi 36% years, at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under section 11 of The Finance Act, 1921, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinki ing fund.
