Public Notices. COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. Loan of £30,600 for purchase of land, erection of County Chambers, purchase of Furniture, Machinery, and Plant, and purchase of Quarries, Quarry Sitep, Machinery, and other equipment therefor.

is hereby given: 1. THAT it is the intention of the Hauraki Plains County Council, un'der the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, respectively, and all other Acts, if . any, it in that behalf enabling, to borrow the sum of £30,600 for the following purposes:

i(a) The sum of £BOO for the purchase pf land at Ngatea to be used as a County site for the County Chambers, the Engineer’s house, and a depot. I (b) The sum of £2500 for the erec- '•. tion pf County Chambers at Ngatea and for the purchase of furniture and fittings therefor. T"(c) The sum of £2BOO lor the pur-i ] chase of a road roller. { (d) The sum of £7200 for the puri chase of four metal tracks, ...(e) The sun pf £250 for, the purchase of a scarifier. (f) The sum of £l5O for the purchase of a water-cart (g) The sum Qf £BOO for the purchase pf a z portable stpnecrusher. (h) The sum of £3OO for the pur-| chase pf portable bins and screens. (i) The sum of £5OO for the purchase of an engine to drive portable crusher. (j) The sum of £l2OO forthe erection. of fpur bins, two on the Waihou and two on the Piako river. (k) The sum of £4OO fpr the purchase of one tar sprayer, (1) The sum of £4OO for the purchase of a concrete mixer. (m) The sum of £5OO fpr the purchase of elevating machinery for bins. (n) The sum of £250 for the purchase of a grader. (o) The sum pf £lOOO tor.the pur- , chase pf two tractois. (p) The sum of £l5O for the purchase of scoops. (q) The sum of £lOOO for the pur-i chase of one towing launch. (r) The sum of £BOOO for the pur-i chase of quarries, quarry sites, machinery, plant, and other equipment therefor. (s) The sum qf £2400 for the payf ment of the first year’s interest and sinking fund and preliminary expenses, 2. THAT as security for the payment of Interest, sinking fund, and other charges 'on the said loan it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special rate of one half-penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. 3. THAT it is the Intention of the said Council to pay put of ,the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year. 4. THE loan is for, a period of 36% years, at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under section 11 of The Finance Act, 1921, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sink-i ing fund.
