Public Notices. COUNTY OF HAURAKI PLAINS. NOTICE OF INTENTION TO BORROW. ‘ Doan of £30,600 for purchase of land, erection of County Chambers, purchase of Furniture, Machinery, and Plant, and purchase of Quarrlep, Quarry Sitqs, Machinery, and other equipment therefor. OTICE is hereby given: 1. THAT it is the intention of! the Hauraki Plains County Council, under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, respectively, and all other Acts, if any, it in that behalf enabling, to borrow the sum of £30,600 for the following purposes: (a) The sum of £BOO for tbe purchase of land at Ngatea to be used as a County sitg for the County Chambers, the Engineer’s house, and a depot* (b) The sum of £2SQO ipr the erection of County Chambers -it Ngatea and lor the purchase ci furniture and fittings therefor. (c) The sum of £2BOO lop the pun chase of a road roller. (d.) The sum of £7200 for the purchase of four metal trucks. (e) The s.um of £250 for the purchase of a- scarifier. (f) The* sum of £l5O for the purchase of a water-cart. (g) The sum of £BOO for the purchase of a. portable stonecrusher. (h) The sum of £3OO for the pur n chase of portable bins and screens. (i) The sum of £5OO for the purchase of an engine to drive portable crusher. (j) The sum of £l2OO for the erection of fpur bins, two on the Waihou and two on the Piako river. (k) The sum of £4OO for the, purchase of one tar sprayer, (l) The sum of £4OO for the purchase of a concrete mixer.

(m) The sum of £5OO for the purchase of elevating machinery for bins. (n) The sum of £250 for the purchase of a grader. (o) The sum of £lOOO for the purchase pf two tractois. (p) ZThe sum ofl £l5O for the purchase of scoops. (q) The sum of £lOOO for the pur-i chase of- one towing- launch. (r) The sum of £BOOO for the puri chase of quarries, quarry sites, machinery, plant, and other equipment therefor. (s) The sum <tf £2400 for the payment of the first year’s interest and sinking fund and preliminary 2. THAT as security for the payment pf interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the said loan it is the intention of the said Council to make and levy a special rate of one half-penny in the £ upon the rateable value (unimproved) of all 1 rateable property in the County of Hauraki Plains. 3. THAT it is the intention of the said Council 'to pay out- of .the loan the cost of raising the loan and the interest'and’ sinking fund for the first year. 4. THE loan is for, a period ofl- 36% years, at such rate of interest not exceeding so much as may be authorised under section 11 of The Finance Act, 1921; together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sink-1 ihg fund; .
