PAEROA SUCCESSES.
BANKINC EXAMINATIONS. : Members of the Paeroa branch of the Bank of New Zealand have been very successful in the recent New Zealand University examinations in banking, etc. The following are the particulars; the subjects are indicated after the names of the candidates, thus : Banking, Part 1,1; Bookkeeping and Accounts Stage 1,2; Economics, 3; Bills of Exchange, 4; Commercial and Banking Law, Part 5. Mr G. W. Carter, 1. and .3 ; Mr Ivan J. Towers, 1 and 3 ; L. A. G. Thorp, 1. Paeroa is the only place between Hamilton and Thames, inclusive, where members of a bank staff have entered for this new examination, there being no entrants from Morrinsi ville, Te Aroha, Waihi, or Thames. Those who do not pass this examination by 1922 will, it is stated, have to matriculate tp reach a similar standard of recognised proficiency. Only those thoroughly equipped will have much chance of advancement, and it is gratifying tp note that Paeroa banking staff members are well ahead in the race (for efficiency.
