STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering- Co., Ltd., reports :— At Hamilton on Thursday, November 24, we had a good yarding of all classes of stock, mos|t of which was disposed of. Competition! for beef showed improvement on last week, and all lots ' submitted .were cleared. Best steers made to £8 10s, lighter weights £6 to £6 19s ; best cows to £4, lighter sorts £2 to £2 17s 6d. Bidding for store cajttle generally was no better than the recent sales, altihougn vendors were in all cases anxious -o quit. Three-year steers, medium quality, made from £2 13s to £2 17s 6d ; 2-year empty heifers to £4 ; yearlings from 30s to £2 : values in this claSs still continue to decline. Jersey bulls sold from £7 5s (15 monjths) to £B. Dairy cows, for which there was a limited demand', made from £7 to £9 ; heifers £5 10s to £7. The market for pigs was again weaker, although most of the offering was disposed of. Baconers made £3 4s, porkers 32s 6d to £2 10s, slips 17s 6d to 27s 6d, weaners 5s to 14,5.
