JERSEY HERD BOOK.

AUCKLAND CENTRAL JERSEY CLUB. At a meeting of! the Auckland Central Jersey Club held at Pukekohe on Saturday, November 19, 1921, the rules for the 1922 Jersey sale were read and adopted. It was decided to have an official entry form for next year, and that, a copy of the rules should .be printed on the back of it. A letter was read from Mr H. E. B. Watson, official demonstrator, stating that he would be in Paeroa on December 7 and 8 next, and that he would be at the club’s service on the following week. It was decided to„.endeavour to hold a demonstration a.c Tua.kau on the 14th, and at Waiuku on the 15tih December. Arrangements Were left in the hand’s of Messrs Jos. Fulton and L. M. Barriball. Two new members were elected. It was let with the commiltte.e to arrange Jersey classes for the Franklin Show anti allot the extra prize money subscribed. The secretary reported that he had had a request from the head’ teacher of the Pukekohe Technical Higlh School asking for a demonstration of a dairy cow. It .was decidWl to ask Mr R. F. Wilkinson to give this demonstration, and also to suggest that the pupils of the primary neighbouring schools in Standards IV, V, and VI be asked to attend. The re-printing of Ithe Jersey Herd Book was discussed, and it was de cided that t(he secreary should write and suggest to t'he Jersey Council that Volumes 1 to 5 ■should be reprinted and bound in one cover, also 6 to 10 should be reprinted and bound in one cover, the balance lefit in abeyance in the meantime, as they considered there would be sufficient stocks in hand to meet the requirements from 11 upwards. It was also a recommendation to the Jersey Council to supply clubs with ’a complete set of the Herd Books free, as members considered •such an action would

be in the best interests of the breed.
