TREASURER’S REPORT. RIDING BALANCES. The treasurer of the Hauraki Plains County Council (Mr E. Walton) reported as fellows fe his council at the monthly meeting at Ngatea on Monday : The riding balances at September 30, 1921, were: Turua Riding.—Debit, £2184 19s B<l. Waitakaruru Riding.—Debit £695 8s lid.
Netjiertpn Riding.—Credit £215 9s sd. Riding.—Debit £550 4s 6d.
Tahuna Riding.—Debit £834 7s 4d. The balances in the loan accounts on the same date were:
Netherton roads fean, £2785 0s Id; Tahuna roads loan £llO9 12s 3d The debit balance at September 30 was £6833 16s 6d.
The receipts for the month ‘of September were: Slaughterhouse license fee, 10s ; refund on account disinfectants, Is 3d; poundkeeper’s deposit, £2 10s; General rate, £285 Ils 10d; Hospital rate, £66 9s lid; Waihou bridge special rate, £3 10s 7d ; penalty, £2l Ils lOd; Court costs, £7 16s; legal fees, £6 18s; exchange, Is 9d. Total, £395 Is 2d. .
