LOCAL RAINFALL.
FOR 1920 AND 1921. By the courtesy of the Paeroa Office of the Public Works Department we have been enabled to secure the following figures of the local rainfall, as registered on the Departments gauge at Paerpa:
The highest record for any one day in 1921 was registered on June 16, when 4.98 inches fell, half-an-inch per hour falling for a duration ofi six hours. Th total fall for 1920, up to the end of September, was 36. ; 19 inches, and for the corresponding period of this year 28.64 inches, The total for the whple year of 1920 -was 41.96 inches.
