A dance was held at Ngatea on Monday evening. The function was given by Mr R. Irwin and was a very enjoyable one. About 30 couples were present. Mr W. Kerby obliged with a song and Mr' J. Bloor was M.C. When this old world of ours was young, And Eden’s boughs with apples hung, Tho’ “know-alls” otherwise believe, Some think sly Adam tempted Eve , It means man’s everlasting shame That mother Eve still bears the blame One boon we owe “man fa 1.1,” 'tls sure, And that is Woods’ Great Peppermint Cure.
