PERSONAL.
A very pleasing interlude occurred during the annual meeting of the Paeroa Bowling Club last .evening, when the retiring president, Mr W. J. Ellis, presented Mr Geo. Dean, on behalf of the Club, with a gold necklet and pendant for his little daughter, Mr Dean having been transferred to Morrinsville during the year. Mr Dean thanked the members for the memento, saying that it would remain in his family as a heirloom. He 4iad been a member for eleven years, during which time the goodfellowship and fraternity among the members had been very enjoyable. He had now joined the Morrisville Bowling Club, and was looking forward to the same good fellowship as ne had experienced in Paeroa. He had had the honoured position of president of the Paeroa Bowling Club, his year of office being one of the most pleasant periods. He wished the Club every success in the fluture, and would watch the career of the Club with great interest.
