BASKET - BALL.

PAEROA GIRLS AT PARAWAI. On Saturday the pupils in Standards V. and VI. of the Paeroa High School journeyed to Thames to try conclusions with Parawai and Centra,! girls ,at the game of basket bad. On arrival the girls were met by the Parawai girls and taken to the school grounds, where the games were played. In the morning two games were played against Parawai School, both ■of which were lost by the visitors. . The two games in the afternoon with the Central School girls were both won by Paeroa. The visitors speak in high praise of the hospitality of the Parawai girls.
