Replying to a request from the Hauraki Plains County Council for a return in respect to'the patients from the Plains who used the Thames Hospital, the secretary, Mr G. Tonge, reported as follows, for the yearly period : Number of patients admitted, 221; aggregate number of days’ stay in Hospital, 4240 ; amounCof fees collected, £387 Ils. In addition, the Board paid for an orphan from the Plains who was at present in the Auckland Hospital: also two inmates in the Old People’s Home, Thames. The Native nurse spent the greater portion of her time on the Plains, the Board being responsible for her expenses.
