MARKET REPORT. The Farmers’.? Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., reports • At Hamilton on Thursday, July 28, we had a large entry of sheep, but on.ly a moderate entry or cattle. In general terms the tone ci the market was dull. Beef was much on me basis of last week, steers making from £8 2s 6d to £to ; cows to £8 15s ; 3-yea.r steers (small entry) £5 to £5 17s 6d ; 2-year steers £3 to £3 16s : 2-year empty heifers £3 15s to £4' 15s. Fat sheep were extremely dull, and the bu,lk of the offering was passed in. The top price for wethers was £1 (medium weight) ; store wethers, 2tooth, llg 3d ; lambs were in fair demand, making up -to 14s lOd for forward sorts ; stores from 9s 6d to 10s 6d ; ewes in lamb seemed in better demand, although values did not improve to any great extent. Pigs sold at about last week’s rates, baconers i realising from £4 10s .to £7 10s, porxe;rs £2 10s to £3 15s. slips 265, to £? 2s 6d, weaners 7s to 225.
