LYCEUM PICTURES

SATURDAY On Saturday, the latest Master Picture “Maytime” which features Harrison Ford. Ethel Shannon, Win. Norris, Clara Be w and Hollywood’s 12 most beautiful girls, will be screened. “Miytime” has been likened to “Old Heidelberg” and “Milestones.” But it owes its great success to a touch not found in either. It has its sadness and brims at times with pathos but it crowns both moods with a happy ending in a manner as modern as it is novel. As a play “May time” toured N.Z. about 5 years ago and proved to be very popular. It shows love in the polile form of olden d ys and carries romance down to the hectic times of parties in bachelor apartments. Excellent supporting fi'ms include the Paths Gazette with its fashion display for the 1 -dies, and a very good Mack Sennett comedy “Down to Sea in Shoes” featuring beautiful belles and cockle shells and lots and lots of laughter.
