However, owing to the continuation of the infantile paralysis epidemic and the consequent Health Department n - strictions, the committee have deemed it advisable to abandon the show this autumn, it is hoped to hold as ring sh v early in September, when lilt-re will lit competition in daffodils, anemones, ranunculi, irises, cyclamens, cinerarias, winter sweet peas, pot plants, etc., besides home industry and other sections. The Society is planning a serieof wint-T 1 ctuies, when various expert* will teal with interesting horticultural topics ior th tit of members generally. Furtheciore, the Society hop s to make a start soon upon beautification work on some site in the town that needs improving.
