Infantile Paralysis.
Infantile paralysis, which has been prevalent in various parts of New Zealand for some time, has now reached Huntly. So far it has not become epidemic, and with ordinary care, the outbreak should not assume any alarming proportions. However, people should be careful, members of families in which cases have occurred, should not come in contact with other people until at least a month after the last contact. If ordinary precaution is taken, there is no reason why the disease should not be stamped cut in the near future. Although the cases which have occurred are not of a very severe nature, all the sufferers have very wisely been removed to the Hamilton Hospital.
