MINERS’ HALL—TO-NIGHT The principal picture this evening in a very pleasant programme is a 2000 feet Keystone comedy entitled “ Our Daredevil Chief" and featureing that popular artist Ford Sterling. He appears in his old familiar character as chief of Police and keeps things so busy that the audience have their laughing faculties extended to the utmost. The star drama is featured by Arthur Johnson and is entitled “ The Life Line ” being a play with great emotional tendencies War subjects are shown in the Topical Gazette, and the balance of the programme is well adjusted to suit the tastes of Huntly Patrons who are cordially invited to attend. For Saturday, Mr Calder will show a beautiful Vitagraph star drama entitled “Two Women,” featuring Miss Anita Stewart and Earle Williams. These two artists have great opportunites and lovers of dramatic sensation should not miss this appealing story. Most interesting war subjects are contained in Making Shell and Shrapnel and the Gaumont Graphic. The comedy section is well represented by about 4000 feet of choice subjects amongst which are two Keystones Dough and Dynamite and Mabel’s Wilful Way, featuring the one and only Charlie Chaplin and pretty Mabel Normand respectively. Dough and Dynamite, which is a perfect scream, is being reshown by numerous requests. A fine comic speciality “ Cartoons in a Parlor ” by Raoul Barre will also be found very entertaining. Patrons can rely on a good and amusing 2Jdj hours entertainment, Reserves may be booked as usual at McNees. Next change of programme on Tuesday.
