Electric Light Scheme.

Progress with the erection of the Power House was interrupted by the holidays, but work is proceeding once more and the builder should.soon be finished,

while the foundations for the engine and boiler are as far forward as they can be got before the erection of the boiler is completed.

As the boiler has to come from England, it may be some time before it arrives, shipping being so uncertain. The poles for carrying the overhead mains have arrived, and some of them are being distributed, but their erection will not be proceeded with until the wire is landed.
