Lyceum Pictures.
MINERS’ HALL—TO-NIGHT A very entertaining picture programme is being shown this evening, headed by an exceptionally good Vitigraph drama, entitled “ Sunshine and Shadow.” This is a very appealing story which will touch the sympathies of all who see it- Two topicals, The Australian Gazette and with the French Army in Lorraine will depict items of much military interest. The comedy section is well represented by two sidesplitting farces entitled Bill’s New Pal, and Crossed in Love and Sward. The former is a new brand of comedy termed L —ko, and features Billie Ritchie, while the latter is a popular keystone. Other good features complete a very nice programme. For Saturday, the management announce a monster programme the greater part of which is comedy, guaranteed to raise a good laugh. The star feature is Edison’s two act side-splitting farce entitled, “ Who Goes There? "which is full of elopements, false proposals and fun galore. The supporting comedy is a big 2,000 ft Keystone entited “ Sea Nymphs,” featuring Miss Mable Normand, and Mr Roscoe Arbuckle, both artists of renown. A strong budget of variety subjects consisting of topicals, dramas, interest and supporting farces complete a very strong and popular programme which is sure to draw a big house. As a cure for the blues the above pictorial treat can be surely recommended. Reserves for the dress circle may be booked as usual at McNee’s. The usual change of programme will be screened next Tuesday, particulars of which will he advertised at the theatre.
