Property Sale.
A number of the business sites with Main Street frontages which form part of the Ralph Estate, were offered by public auction at the beginning of tiie week, Mr Jas. Elliot, who acted in conjunction with Messrs Samuel V aile and Sons, being the salesman. Though the majority did not reach tho reserve, bidding was fairly brisk, the sale resulted as under: Section, No. 105, Messrs Northcroft and Robertson, Solicitors, £8 per foot; No. 21, Mr G. M. Fraser, £o per foot; and No. 59, Mr G. M. Fraser £SOO. Prior to this sale Nos. 39 and 40 were purchased by Mr Tlios. Moir at £205 and £l5O respectively ; No. 38 by Mrs A. S. Moir at £l5O ; and No. -±4 bv Mrs E. J. Farrell at £175. On Thursday two others were disposed of privately by Mr Elliot; one at £2O per foot, and the other, bought by the lown Board, at £lO per foot. It is likely that before the month ends the remainder will be sold, the reserves being most reasonable and the investment being considered likely to prove highly renumerative in a short time.
