Accident at Te Akatea.
W. Timms, who belongs to Huntly, was very seriously hurt in the Te Akatea mine last week. It appears that a fall of coal occurred from the roof of the bord in which Timms was working, he getting the full force of the fall on his head and back. In addition to very severe scalp wounds. necessitating several stitches, the sufferer received severe laceration of the back, in addition to a broken bone in one of his feet. file sufferer was conveyed to the Hamilton Hospital, and is reported to be doing as well as could be expected.
