Electric Light Additional. Loan.

The Poll for the additional loan which the Town Board finds necessary to raise to complete the Electric Lighting and Power Scheme, will be be taken next Wednesday.

Only ratepayers are entitled to vote. All should roll up to record their votes on this important proposal, for every ratepayer must be desirous of seeing the plant laid down in such a way as to give the greatest satisfaction to the consumers.

The Board aims at providing such a plant as will fulfil the wants of Huntly for many years to come, without the expense and inconvenience of alterations in a few years time.

We have no doubt that ratepayers will endorse this very sensible move on the part of the Board, but we would point out that all should record their votes if possible, as sometimes proposals are lost through the default of the ratepayers in not going to the poll.
