I Huntly Road Board. NOTICE OF INTENTION TC LEVY GENERAL RATE. OTI C E is hereby given ; 1. x under Section 103 of the Road Board's Act. 190 S. Sections j 48 to 54 of the Rating Act, 1908, and Amendments thereto, that it jis the intention of the Huntly j Road Board at its next meeting, | to be held on August 2Sth 1915, | at the Road Board Office, Huntly, to make and levy a General Rate of (one half-penny) in the £ on the Capital Value of all Rateable Property in the Huntly Road District, for the year commencing on April Ist, 1915 and ending on March 31st 1916, the said Rate to become due and payable in one sum to the Collector (F. Harris) at the Board’s Office, Huntly, on September the Ist, 1915. The Matahura Special Rate No. 1, to the extent of 15-32 d (fifteen thirty-seconds of a penny) in the £ ; and the Matahura Special rate, No. 2, to the extent of 5-32 d (five thirtyseconds .of a penny) in the £ ; and the. Matahura Special Rate No. 3, to the extent of Vgd (oneeighth of a penny) in the £, will be collected at the same time. The Valuation Roll is nowopen for inspection at the Board’s Office. F. IjnHE Local Bodies’ Loans Act, -S- 1913, The Town Boards Act, 1908, and any other Statutes now or hereinafter passed affecting Loans to local Bodies. Proposeed Additional Loan of £2OOO (Two Thousand Pounds), for the purpose of more adequately providing Electrical Lighting and power supply for the Huntly Town District. The Huntly Town Board hereby gives notice : 1. That the particular purpose for which the Additional Loan is required is the more adequate provision of an Electric Lighting and Power Supply for the Huntly Town District, including the acquisition of such sites and land as may be necessary for such purpose, and the construction and erection thereon of such Power House, Buildings, Plant and Machinery as may be necessary or incidental to the said undertaking, and also the provision and erection of poles, wires, lamps, and connections as may be required for the Public and Private Lighting of the District, 2. That, it being unable to provide the necessary funds for such works out of ordinary revenue, proposes to borrow the sum of £2OOO at a rate of interest not exceeding sJf> per centum per annum. 3. That the provision for repayment is, that the said Loan shall be repaid in 36)4 years, and that- a sinking fund of 1 per centum per annum be provided for that purpose. 4. That the proposed security for such loan shall be the said undertaking or works when completed, including such power House, Buildings, Plant, Machinery, Poles, Wires, Lamps, and connections, and all revenues derived there from, less the working expenses thereof, and also a Special Rate of two-ninths of one penny in the £ on the rateable value of all rateable property in the said district, which rate is estimated to give and yield 10 per centum more than the interest, together with the ■linking Fund of 1 per centum per annum, and also all the Revenues of the Huntly Town District and the Huntly Town Board. 5. That it proposes to pay out >f the said Loan, the cost of raising the Loan and tho interest on such Loan for the first year. Dated the 16tli day of August. 1915. J. F.
