Huntly Hibernians.

FAREWELL TO Mb. DARBY A very pleasing function took place in the Convent School last Sunday, when Bro. W. Darby the past President of the Hibernian Lodge, who is leaving the district to take up farming, was presented by his fellow members with a beautiful clock, as a token of the esteem and regard in which he is held by them.. The President, Bro. J. Budge in making the presentation eulogised the many sterling qualities of Bro. Darby both as a citizen and as a Hibernian. In the course of his remarks, the President stated that the great success of the Socials recently conducted by the Hibernians was in no small measure due to the valuable assistance rendered gratis, by Bro. Darby and Mrs Darby, and he wished them every success in their new life. Bro. Darby in a few well chosen words suitably replied.
