Lyceum Pictures.

MINERS’ HALL—TO-NIGHT. Judging by the increased attendance at the previous screenings of the “Adventures of Kathlyn ” this sensational serial story is proving a decided draw and it is safe to say another good house will greet the showing tonight, of No 4 of the series entitled “ The Royal Slave ” The heroine Kathlyn after many further adventures with wild animals and fanatical men, is sold as a slave and this section will be found a most enthralling one, being full of many spectacular incidents. Supporting pictures will be found very palatatable, amongst, them being the Australian Gazette and John Bull on Top, both of which contain very good topical cartoons.

For Saturday Mr Calder will show a big and popular programme headed by Edison’s special drama “ The Best Man.” This is a fine picturisation of the famous novel and is power* fully dramatic in its incidents all of which will appeal very much to the ladies. Supporting dramas, War pictures, and interest films are amongst the good things whilst a special treat in the shape of three good comedies is also provided, two of which are keystones, viz, the Noise of Bombs, and “ The Fatal Sweet Tooth,” the other being one of the popular Ham series.

Reserves as usual at McNee’s. Important particulars for next Tuesday at the theatre.
