WAIKOKOWAI.
(Own Correspondent.) We would again draw attention to the necessity of finger-posts along the Huntly-Waikokowai j Road, as travellers are often put I to considerable inconvenience by not knowing where to leave the main road for Ruawaro and surronn ling districts. Last Friday Lieut, Ansell reached the Post Office here before he was aware of his mistake. During the recent heavy rains, the small bridge at the Waihi settlement was completely under water for some days. The Raglan County Council should be approached to affix handrails to act as a guide, particularly to
vehicular traffic, as this part of the road is difficult to negotiate under the above circumstances, there always being a risk of drivingover the side of the bridge. The weather is very favourable to the lambing season which has a! r. uuenesd, their being a fab ia. k.-r of lambs in the district all ready.
