Huntly Poultry & Kennel Club.
A committee meeting of the above Club was held in the King’s Hall on Wednesday evening last. Present Messrs H. Sissons (presiding), F. Littleprond, W. Riggans, W. Thomas, H. Clinch, C. C. Porter, and C. Tucker (aecjfctary).
3Uue minutes of the precious meeting were read and confirmed.
Inward and outward correspondence read and dealt with. Proposed by Mr Riggans and by Mr Littleproud : That Mr H. A. Clinch represent the Huntly Club at the annual meeting to be held at Hamilton on the 23rd inst. —Carried. It was moved and carried: That Mr W. D. Thompson, of Te Hoe, be elected a Vice-President of the Club. It was moved and seconded : That Messrs Starr and Clinch wait on Mr Briton re rent of hall. Resolved : That Mr Starr's loan be refunded —Carried.
Mr C. C. Porter reported : That the pictures for the art union will be on view in the course of a few days. A special prize was donated by Mr Shepherd, of Devonport, to be awarded to the best Spaniel or Terrier in the Show, excepting Airdale or Bull Terrier.
A silver teapot was presented by Messrs Ellingham & Co., Auckland, as a special prize to be awarded as the committee think fit.
