District News.

RANGIRIRI. We regret to have to chronicle the death of the eldest son of Mr and Mrs D. Jones, of this district. The lad, who was 17 years of age, was taken to the Hamilton Hospital by motor car from Rangiriri on Friday evening last, and died at 1 o’clock on Saturday morning. Deceased had suffered a good deal from irregular health during the last few years. The sympathy of the residents of this district goes out to the father and mother in their hour of sorrow. The funeral took place at Hamilton on Monday last.
