Huntly Bowling Club.
A meeting of the Huntly Bowling and Croquet Ciub was held in the Town Board Office on Monday evening last, Dr. R. C. Macdiarmid presiding over a very good attendance. The rules which had been passed seriatim at a former meeting, were now finally passed, and were ordered to be sent to the Registrar of Friendly Societies for registration.
The financial proposals, which had been held over from last meeting, were now taken and fully discussed, the motion “That Debentures having a currency of 10 years, and bearing interest at five per cent, per annum be issued up to the value of £SOO ” being passed without dissentient voice. Messrs Eccles, Robertson, Harris and the Secretory, were appointed a committee to draw up printed a suitable form of ■benture. The meeetim; then proceed io appoint office-bearers for the ening term as foil .ws : -- VicePresident, Dr. R. C. Macdiarmid and Mr G. M. Fraser, Green Superintendent, Mr George, Committee, Messrs Eceles, Ruston, Dyer, Marston, and F. Harris. The members present agreed to take part in a working bee for the purpose of levelling the Club Grounds. Mr Elliot gave notice to move at the next meeting “ That the motion passed at the meeting of the 13th instant, fixing the colours of the Club he rescinded and that, a fresh motion, fixing maroon as the club colour be substituted. ,
