MINERS 1 HALL. The enterprising management are screening programmes of very great interest this week, the star feature for this evening being “ Love versus Duty. " It is a popular H.B. melodrama, crowded with wholesome action, which stirs the vitality and quickens the pulse. The ever popular Australian Gazette will be shown while dramatic, comio and scenic subjects, supply the variety element in popular style, not forgetting the great keystone merrymaker, entitled “ Love and Bullets, ” which is said to be one of that famous companies long distance laughs. Patrons can rely on a splendid evening. For this Saturday and Monday Mr Calder announces he has secured at considerable expense Barker's All British Masterpiece, entitled, " Sixty Years a Queen.” This is a stupendous film production which shows the life and Reign of Queen Victoria the Good. It took 3 years to complete, costing a fabulous sum to produce. This magnificent picture will be lucidly lectured by Mr Barrie Marschel, an expert elocutionist, who has been engaged specially by the management for the purpose. In the production the whole of England was laid under contribution for authentic records, and all assistance was given by the Imperial and state officials, in order that nothing should be omitted which would render the work absolutely reliable in every detail. This film is an invaluable aid to education and all parents should give their children an opportunity to see it as well as coming themselves. Prices are same as usual and reserves should be booked at McNee’s for Dress Circle to avoid disappointment.
