Huntly Town Hoard.
MONTHLY MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Huntly Town Board wa; held a week earlier than usual this month, owing to the holiday next week. There were present:—Messrs J. P. Bailey (chmrmdn) L. B. Hareis, in nr., G. T. Harwood and [{. Greenwell. The clerk read a letter from the General Manager of Railways re supply of water t<> the horse-tmugh from tho Departments big tank. The reply slated that the Department would agree to supply water as desired, on condition that the
I Board paid for meter and conI nections and agreed to pay for j the water at the rate of one shilling per thousand gallons. On the motion of the Chair- ; man, it was agreed to accept the j offer, and to try and urge the Department to push on the work as expeditiously as possible. The Clerk reported that the small dispute about the amount of royalty due from the Taupiri Coal Mines’ to the Board had been satisfactorily settled. Accounts amounting to £36 10s 7d were passed for payment.
