His many friends will regret to learn that Major Kay is ill witli appendicitis at Samoa. Mr J. Hodgson, who has been in the Hamilton Hospital for the last four weeks through the loss of an eye while working in Ralph’s Mine, returned home on Monday last, but has to go back to Hamilton in the course of a day or two to undergo another operation.
