Obituary.
Since our last issue, two deaths have occurred, Mrs R. Grundy of Matahura and Mrs W. Shilton of Huntly West having passed away. Mrs Grundy had been ill for a very long time, and had undergone several operations, which, although giving partial relief were not successful in caring her of the mysterious malady by which she was attacked. Towards the end of the year it was found that Mrs Grundy was failing fast, and she passed away at Auckland on Dec. 28th, being interred at Huntly on Dec. 30th. Mrs Grundy was well known and highly respected, in and about Huntly, having resided at Kimihia for some years. She leaves a husband and six childdren to mourn her loss. After a long and painful illness Mrs W. Shilton, sen., of Huntly West, passed peacefully away at the Waikato Hospital on Friday evening last. Deceased who was highly respected throughout the town, leaves a husband, four sons and one daughter to mourn their sad loss. The bereaved family have the heartfelt sympathy of the Huntly residents. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon at the Hamilton West Cemetery.
