MINERS’ HALL, TO-NIGHT. The management have secured very bright and brilliant programmes for this week end the star feature this evening being Kalem’s master play "The Chinese Death Thorn.” This is a tremendous story of the underworld and contains sensation including some very thrilling fights between the police and a crime syndicate. A fine military picture supports the star entitled “ Lucca Cavalry ” and shows this clever horse brigade at their best. That popular article, a good Keystone comedy, is included, called 'The Gusher.’ This is guaranteed to raise a good laugh. Three topical gazettes will be shown, amongst them being the latest Pathe Gazette showing Prince Louis of Battenberg who has just resigned from the British Navy. The balance of the programme contains a brilliant selection of educational, dramatic and comedy subjects of great drawing power. This Saturday a portfolio of powerful plays will be screened, featuring Broncho's forceful dramatic play “The Open Door. ” This is a strong story of the submerged and downtrodden, and is guaranteed to touch the better nature of all who witness it. The supporting dramas are most interesting, while the comic department is well to the fore in “ Willies ” and the “ 'Merry Widow ” “ Let Em Quarrel ” and ‘Mary’s New Hat. ’ Two Topical gazetts will be shown, including the very latest English Pathe. Patrons will enjoy tins programme thoroughly. On Tuesday that fine detective Pathecolour drama "Nick Winter and the Kidnapper” will be screened, while yet another Keystone. entitled “ A Muddy Romance” is included. Book all reserves at HUNTLY.
