The institution of the Rev. J. A. Kay all df vicar of the Parochial District took place on Fri- ; day evening last in St. Paul’s Church, Huntly. The ceremony j was conducted by the Ven. Arch- j deacon Cowic, who was assisted i by the Vicar of Te Awamutu, j and the Rev. Hori Raiti. A i goodly number of parishioners | was present, and the ceremony was very impressive. After the j institution, the Vicar conducted j evensong, the archdeacon deli- j vering a short address, exhorting the people to stand by their new ! Vicar in the work of the Parish, j and pointing out that, in a district so large, and with duties I so exacting as here, the work . could not be properly overtaken* except by loyal co-operation of the laity with the clergy.
