MINERS’ HALL, TO-NIGHT. Pictorial programmes of exceptional merit are being screened this week end at the Miners’ Hall and in order to accommodate the increasing number of patrons to these popular pictures the management have provided twenty-five additional seats in the dress circle. A fine Pathe Star Drama entitled “Her Second Choice” takes the premier place in this evenings show and porn-ays in a very compelling manner the human emotions. It is supported by a fine military drama entitled “ Patriotism ” by the Cines Co. An extra goo:l Keystone Comedy is included called “Won By a Shirt,” while the latest news from Europe is shown in the Topical Budget. Scenic dramatic and comic subjects complete a verp iuterest sustaining programme. Mr Calder wishes to announce that he has secured for this Saturday _ and Monday the greatest of all modern successes The Message from Mars.” It is a world’s favourite and is acted by Mr Charles Hawtrey and his complete London Company who have made it famous throughout the world. It has been specially produced at enormous cost and is absolutely a standard work. Mr Hawtrey has never visited the Dominion yet you are enabled by the aid of the kiuematograph to see this wonderful play acted as it is in London. The film depicts a startling dream and its marvellous lesson. Several other films including the Latest Pathe Gazette No 271 will suppert this premier star. A large house is being provided for and patrons to ensure seats should book at the Huntly Press Office.
