Methodist Church.

ANNIVERSARY. Last Sunday the Rev. Mr. Wrigley, Hamilton, conducted the services held in connection with the anniversary of the Huntly Methodist church. Large congregations attended, both diets of worship, a feature of tl\e services being the fine singing of the choir under the able conductorship of Mr Norman. On Monday evening the annual tea and concert took place in the church. After full justice had been done to the i former, the Rev. M. J. Evans, •who-presided, Spoke of the progress made by the church during! the past year. Short addresses were given by the Revs. Messrs. Wrigley, Hamilton, and Taylor, Thames, both speaking of the good work done by the Rev. Mr. Evans. During the interval songs were nicely rendered by Mrs Deed, Miss E. Geary and Mr R. Gleeson. Recitations were also given by Misses Leather and Hooker, and Messrs. Lawn and Hooker. Two anthems were rendered by the choir, and a double quartette by Mesdames Norman and Deed, Misses Leather and Pick worth, and Messrs. George, Gleeson, Baker, and Horwood. The evening was brought to a close by* the singing of the National Anthem.
