Huntly Oddfellows.
ANNUAL BALL. Judging by replies to hand the eighth annual ball to be held next week by the local lodge of oddfellows promises to be numerically successful, while the energetic committee is now engaged on the work necessary to make the function an undoubted social success, and to this end no steps are being neglected. The supper, on a choice, elabor ate and generous scale, will be a feature, and the music can be depended upon to prove such as will tempt the “flying L i<? engage in the Terpsichorean measures and gyrations that are so much enjoyed by votaries of the dance. The decorations will, no doubt, add to the effect by throwing into relief the toilettes of the ladies and the more sombre costumes of the men. Altogether, a pleasant and enjoyable evening may be anticipated, and one that will compare with the seven preceding functions, every one of which has redounded to the credit of all concerned.
