Gift Social.

A Gift Auction and Social, in aid of the Parish Hall Fund of St. Paul’s Church, will be held in the Masonic Hall on Monday evening next. Work in the Sunday School, and amongst the young people generally has been much hampered for many yeais for want of a suitable building in which to hold meetings. The inconvenience has become more acute during the last year, owing to the change from the. old method to the Kindergarden method of work in the Sunday School. Under the new method a good deal more room is required and varioits appliances are needed which cannot be conveniently kept in a church or a hired Hall. The Anglican church people will, therefore, no doubt, give their best support to this worthy object by attending ths social, and, where possible, providing something to be sold for the benefit of the Fund.
