Oil Monday evening Mi' John Furniss addressed a meeting in Mr McKay's cook house, those present numbering about 40. Present day politics was the subject of the speaker who attributed the position of the worker to an excessive borrowing policy which entailed the payment of a heavy interest to money lenders.
